Anti Trap and Convertible top Problems

Anyone familiar with there anti trap system and Convertible top. Both of them do not work for me and I am so clueless to get it fixed. I was told by the dealer it’s a coding issue and such so can anyone lead me a way to diagnose this.

Oh and my electric glovebox latch won’t open so I have to use the key to lock and unlock it. If this has anything similar.

It could be either disconnected or broken.
Mine was broken many years ago. You only have to remove 2 screws and replace it for new one.
In my case, I could hear the actuator when lock the car with the remote but nothing happens. The axle was outside its position and I decided to replace it with a new part.

Regards

Roof won't work until you reset the anti-trap feature.
Usually you can do it using the power windows switch buttons rolling down the windows (one at once) and keep pushing the button for 10 seconds.
Then roll up the window and keep pulling the button for 10 seconds again.

Repeat the process with the other 3 windows. If this does not work, then you have to use INPA/ISTAD and trigger the proper job from the menu.

Regards.

I encountered a similar issue with a vert in the past. You have to do the above process using the "all windows" button on the driver's door panel and not the individual window buttons. This resets the windows and then the roof should work as normal.

I had this issue as have many. In my case, disassembly and resetting the engagement of the worm gear mechanism solved the problem.

Well when ever I try and reset the anti trap feature it won't work. I have used INPA and tried to buttons on the door. I am unsure how to get it working.

I don't even get an error whenever I try to roll down my front windows. They don't drop the half-inch when I open the door for the borderless convertible or coupe windows. I don't know if the previous owner disabled the VO in NCSexpert or something (If there even is a VO for it). My rear windows need the hall sensors replaced so I don't know if that is causing the convertible top to not work.

Anything notable precede the failure of the window drop and convertible top operation? Did both fail at exactly the same time? Or did you buy the car this way?

Had you done some coding or programming shortly before the failures? Had the battery disconnected for any length of time? There are a number of entries in the FRM relating to the window drop on door opening (which is not the same as anti-trap) which might have been affected.

How do you know the rear windows need Hall sensors replaced?

Have you read error codes for all modules with INPA or ISTA/D? If not, do so and report them here.

I bought the car with these problems and have had the battery disconnected at times for long periods. I know the rear windows need the hall sensors because I read the codes with carley. I just wanted to get this window dropping issue fixed and the convertible top fixed. Would make this car perfect

OK

1) Lets find out which ones are current. So clear all of them and let see which ones recur.

2) What components have you replaced since purchasing the car?

I took a look at the pictures you sent, and it has E90 in the VO, not E93. Presumably done when the CAS or FRM was replaced.

I think, until the VO is changed from E90 to E93, you'll continue to have issues like this.

Ok, So how do I change my VO from an E90 to E93, Does this require some special tools or anything. Am I able to just use NCS and my K+Dcan cable?

Update. i was able to change my VO to my cars VO using a BMW vin decoder. I ended up with this VO and I used http://bimmer.work/vin/b1f7388f1e839...9a4d7de553dc8/ to get my VO. I went ahead and updated the VO on the CAS and FRM. Hopefully, this is a good step in the direction I need to get my car fixed.
