Code: 36D4
Valvetronic servomotor controlled Phase V: Line break
Code: 2DE3
Valvetronic servomotor: Overload
Code: 2DE5
Valvetronic servomotor: Components Protection, Shutdown System
Code: 2DE9

2011 X5 35i 55K miles

same issue- car died while driving, no warning and wouldn't start.

Codes:
2DE5
2DE9
36D4
371A

At an Indy shop replacing the motor now. But it was supposed to be ready yesterday. Fingers crossed but the way this car has been, i'm certain it will be more expensive and difficult to locate.

It seems every time i research a code that pops on the x5 it is almost always associated with another 2011 35i car. What's up with that year and so many problems?

I have these codes:

2DE3 -valvetronic servomotor, activation, volt phase: line disconnection
371A – valvetronic, supply voltage: line disconnection
36D4 – DME Internal fault, activation Valvetronic: malfunction
2DE5 – Valvetronic overload protection: servomotor overloaded
2DE9 – Valvetronic component protection, servomotor : deactivation system.

Although, I'm still able to drive. Yes, 2011 335 is a POS. I've replaced two waterpumps, exactly at 75Km each, power steering pump, oil gaskets, both rear calipers seized, coolant tank cracked, air intake pipe cracked, windshield washer leaking and looks like valvetronic/eccentric shaft next!

I will never purchase another BMW!
