Stop driving and call out BMW assist and tell them to dump it at the dealer and get the Assist guy to give you a three series as a replacement (explain your holiday circumstances). Assist guys work for BMW not stealers. Next step is to do as Viv says - go for the dealer principle. If you do not get an adequate car from BMW assist get the dealer to supply a 3 series or better asap. If I were in your position I would be dumping the car at the dealer and kicking up a fuss with placards outside to destory their sales for the day!! My father had probs a few years back with a new car he bought (not BMW). Basically he discovered that there were tooling marks left behind on all four doors. A stern solicitors letter soon got the dealer principle in action to get people from the factory out to the UK to sort out the problem. You've spent your hard earned cash on a car you believe to run satifactorily not for bits to stop working after a few days. All the recent stories do really make me think the article in Time magazine could explain why the build quality of the 3 is going to fluff in Alfa style..... rant over

The car is now back at the shop and they are changing the AC compressor AGAIN!!! The original one did less than 400 miles, the one they put on last week did 30 miles, and now they are putting a new one???
That does not sound very logical to me! |
