It's on its way

Just heard from my vehicle supplier that my car has arrived in the UK and is being prepped for a August 31st Delivery to my house, ready for September 1st

I'm very excited now

Less than two weeks away! Seems very 'real' now, I even have the new registration.

It's going to be murder having it sat on the driveway and not being able to use it!

Lucky buggers, my dealer has told me that there is a problem with the twin turbo engine's, although he went on to clarify that the problem was down to demand & meeting it.

Hence mine is likely to be delivered end Sept / beginning Oct!

The sales guy is allowing the rest of the morning for handover, says he'll only do four that day as otherwise you have to rush. Plus, don't forget we'll be picking up two cars!

The paperwork and stuff takes time and then they are supposed to show you all the controls,, how they work, walk you around the car etc.. But I had read the manual online before collecting the car so knew everything already. My dealer realised this and just gave me the keys as he was fed up with me ending his sentences and telling him other bits of detailed info about the car..!! Otherwise probably would have been 1.5hrs!! All i wanted was for him to stop talking so that I could drive her...

I have already owned an E91, albeit without Nav, bluetooth and DAB. Functionality will be the same so I just need a runround of the nav etc. I will need to sign the finance paperwork (I assume this has to be done on the premises so that might mean delivery the night before is a non starter) and listen to the BM try and sell me GAP and tyre insurance (no chance).

A Nav demonstration will take a bit of time. You won't master it there and then, its something you will learn over time. You'll pick it up quick though...

I am also familiar with i Drive, but that was a couple of years ago on my E60. That had Business nav, and I know that a lot has changed since then.

Yep the handover is defo a very exciting time. Makes you feel like a kid at Christmas again

I too had read the i-drive manual online (i know, its sad) before lifting the car, so it was already quite familiar to me on the day.
