Meth injection installed, but did not activate it during runs, only plan on using it as a cooler.

I requested a conservative tune because of shitty inconsistent gas here and temps roaring into 30C during the day.

Torque build up is also quite conservative, so no instant boost on low rpms, saving rods etc.

I also have a racegas (102oct) tune booked, so that will be my kill map for the 1/4 mile.

It seems these snails will need PI or aux fueling to get the most out of them, but until now, I'm happy (and not breaking other stuff).

Awaiting green light from my tuner to post up logs and dyno sheets (I'm not there to start keyboard wars).

Dragy times to follow......
From everything I've read and heard from the guys that specialize in N54 tuning.......these motors love octane. I'm surprised you were even able to get into the 400's with 89. For reference, with stock turbos on 93 you should be in the 425hp range....and with an E40 (95-97 octane) mix you should be getting really close to hitting 500hp.

I bet you would be shocked at how much HP and TQ you could gain by simply running an E40 mix (as long as your HPFP can't keep up).

To get the most out of these you really need fuel. I suspect many failures may be EGT related to be honest, these 'lower price range' products may not have the ability to tolerate very lean spool tunes. Just something to think about especially in that fat midrange 3500-4500 where these things wake up hungry.
Still on the same turbos. Mileage is now at 170k . I'm also with a BMP manifold . Fueling issue's have been resolved. Adding a map sensor to the manifold for more accurate feedback to the Motiv+ . Still at 22psi daily however I have a 27psi Mexico map. Full e85.

Can't complain for the $$ these turbo's have been great.

I am still using my same set as well, daily, 25 PSI and raced the car and beat the piss out of it and running strong. Maintained is key though.

My original DAW Stage 2 6x6 blade or whatever they called them are now at 37K miles. They just started to have wastegate rattle, but are holding boost still....fingers crossed. Have only been running a 21 PSI 93 Octane tune.

Well the time has come, I noticed some smoke coming up while I was at idle. Maybe a bad seal. IDK, I will probably take them out this winter to rebuild or replace.

Mine does that too, but it's my Valve Cover Gasket, just trying to get around to replacing it LOL

Maybe this is the case for me as well. I will dive into it this winter while she is put away. I will post back if the turbos or okay or not.

I have these turbos for about 2 years now, but have not really driven the car, maybe for a total of 1000 miles.

Im boosting about 24psi on pump gas, made 430hp on a dynojet

Turbo seem okey, not burning any oil, although they had a rattle come up at around 700 miles and needed the shim fix. it doesnt rattle now.

Im scheduled to do and E50 map next and will keep you guys posted on dyno numbers and dragy times

They should be making more power than that. My 93 tune at 20psi with my smaller RB Two's makes close to 500hp.

Correct.

24psi on pump gas + DAW turbos + 430whp on a dynojet is just horrible numbers.

You can hit 424 whp / 503 wtq on stock turbos and 93 octane:

https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1215148

That is without upgraded hotside chargepipe/outlet and the factory cats(not in the downpipe) Those should push over 430whp at least if not more.

I'm in South America and we have shitty pump gas: 89 octane and our weather is tropical: 32 degrees celcius (90F) daily (nights are 28 degrees - 80 ish F)

I actually also requested a conservative tune to keep things sunny side up, although this resulted in turbos being a bit laggy due to low timing.

Now that being said, the E50 tune will be a kill map, drag only and only limited to the car's fueling capaity (only have a 450 Walbro lpfp).

Might look into PI later on, but want to do things step by step.

With the stock DI setup...and no PI, E40 will make the most power at the max capacity of the HPFP. I'm pushing close to 575-600hp on my stock DI setup on E40 at 25psi. E50 just requires more fuel volume...and the HPFP will run out of fuel flow at less power.

E40 is the way to go on a stock DI setup you want to push to the max

So your advice to maximize all would be to go E40 due to the HPFP not supporting flow for any higher E content (averaged across the board - all cars differ to a certain extend).

This is useful info, as I assumed E50 would be better...

Ahh well, 89 is piss that explains things. Maybe look at running meth injection? Or just E85 if it is easy to get.
