Has anyone been given any heat by a dealer re: intake?

Kinda want one.. but don't want to deal with any backlash. Usually it's not an issue..

As for a tune, I'm either going with JB4 or Cobb. I'm still researching the forums and keep going back and forth. I have no plans for meth. Maybe intakes, but that's about it.
if no meth, i'll suggest COBB

+1 Cobb would be the best choice for your needs. JB4's everyday drivability isn't the best, it's like an off/on switch and you don't "feel" the power until past 3500 RPM.

I love those back roads, however, you have to be careful of all the bumps, potholes, and quarry trucks.

My dealer didn't like them, however, it takes about 15 min to swap back to stock if using DCI's. I suggest just using a drop-in filter, DCI gains are not that great unless pushing 14+ psi (from my experience). I could also feel the heat soak and the car bog down on hot summer days when not spraying meth.

Finally broke down and bought some new rotors. Check out these guys from San Jose, their prices were crazy good I couldn't resist:

http://www.adamsrotors.com/

These guys are very well known in the Audi and Dub forums, maybe I can give them some good press over here. Eric @ Supreme Power is a vendor over here. I ended up getting their Custom Brembo (Type III) with black hats and silver zinc coating on all 4 corners. Should I go with Hawk HPS or Stoptech Street Performance pads? Aslo, do I need to replace my studs for the new rotors or can I re-use my studs (thy only have a thousand miles on them)?

im using Hawk HPS front and Stoptech rear. Hawk is super low dust, my rear has more brake dust than the front. for daily use it's more than good enough. no noise whatsoever. i love them

Rotors just slide right over studs. Don't even have to remove them.

You like the Hawks better? I here mixed reviews, for the most part, people all love their Stoptechs. Keep in mind, I do use them for "light" track use too. Hawks came with brake sensors and Stoptechs didn't correct?

Hawks came with brake pad sensor and Stoptechs didn't correct? Moderate brake dust doesn't bother me. I have Cool Carbons and they are extremely low dust, however, the pads are extremely hard and have terrible initial bite and cause brake judder.

Word. I never delt with studs before so I wasn't sure.

Now i need to get with Dan to learn the quick way of installing pads vs. the way I been doing it. Supposidly he can do it in 20 min or less by using some hex bolt.

hey Will, since i had the setup, it's been on a DD and never see track yet. so i can't tell you exactly how does it compare. but definitely better than OEM. as far as the sensor, i recall it doesn't have one, and i don't need one anyway, i tuck away my sensor since it will not work on brembo GT.

PM Dan@UnitedBMW, he can hook you up. It's a full kit, you can't just buy the ducts alone. Tell him Will sent you. Here is the item listing and part # (you can also order it from Tischer but Dan will have better prices).
