Cable, BT, wifi?

Ok, so I am back into the n54 world with a new e92 spd. It has been about 3 years since my 135i and I want to get up to speed on the latest and greatest.

So, what is the best medium to flash/code/read these days?

I have a bunch of subtle codes I need to find and diagnose(airbag, brake, tpms, seat belt) so I need something besides a basic code reader. I'll need to use INPA as always, and then of course, flashing with MHD, xDelete in the future.

So, what is the best way of doing all of that without buying multiple pieces of hardware for the ODB? I had the BimmerGeeks cable, but I was wondering how much you can do with a Bluetooth or wireless receiver. I do actually have a wifi ODB receiver. Not sure what it can and can't do.

Thanks.

Bimmergeeks provides links for BMW standard tools and ISTA. That is still the best setup.
