I did the full OEM M3 retrofit on my e92, and I can assure you, NOTHING works without the other surrounding M panels. Here is why:
-The lip around the front fender of a 335, is about .5" thicker than an M3, so you if you thought you can bolt on the M3 front bumper to your stock 335 fenders, the lip around the fender wont line up with the M3 line -The M3 front bumper is approx 1" wider than a 335 -The M3 hood is approx 1" longer than the stock hood, so it wont line up with your stock 335 fenders if you were hoping to simply put the M3 hood on a non M car. -The M3 front bumper is approx 1" longer than a 335 -The M3 side skirts are about .5" too long I was did the complete front end conversion on my e92, and it is not easy. Tons of little parts to buy, and it is a nightmare to make fit perfect, even though it is all OEM. If I could do it all over, I would have just bought the M-Tech front bumper and saved thousands. Here was my car in its final state: |
