I bought the kit ($72 this year, $63 last year) again from FCP Euro. I was planning on returning the oil under their lifetime warranty, but I feel cheap doing so. How do they stay in business doing this?
I can't imagine sending fluids back... they're relatively inexpensive to begin with, and shipping costs would probably be more than half of the refund amount. Filters I could see, but again, they're cheap to begin with. I bet 90% of people don't return anything for those reasons. If I lived nearby and could just walk in, that would be a different story! :-) For consumables, I bet windshield wipers, spark plugs, coils, coolant hoses... those would be pretty easy to ship as they are lightweight and have a pretty decent cost. That's my plan at least!

Took the MCAT! Drove it to the testing center and back. Now that it’s all over, moving on to replacing the shocks / struts. Currently have Bilstein B6 w/ M-Sport springs, and they’re way too stiff for everyday roads, at least around here. Was originally going to go to B4s, but am strongly considering the Koni FSD after noticing they’re 20% off on ECS.

Unless someone has had a really bad experience with them, I’m going to order them, as well as the necessary hardware (i.e. bump stops and probably new shock mounts too). Everything I’ve heard / read about them is extremely positive.

Returning fluids and filters to FCP is the most cheap bastard shit I've ever heard. It takes a certain type of person to do that lol.

Costs me about $15 to ship back. So at the current cost of the oil change kit i get about $58 back. Currently have done 15 oil changes on my car so with getting back, lets say an average of $50 per oil change every time, its saved me $750 the last 2.5 years ive had my 335.

Interesting… My understanding with the Yellows is that the rear adjuster is unreachable once installed, yes? Not looking for a track-oriented setup, as that’s kind of what I have now and it’s just too much for the street.

I also don’t want to drop over the stock (M-Sport) suspension - it’s already kind of low for the roads here. I assume the Special Actives trade a bit of performance for handling? If so that’s fine - I was going to go with the stock dampeners (B4) anyway, so any upgrade is just a nice-to-have...

Our is a daily and wife mostly drive it, definitely smooth like stock. Can't remember setting in rear since shop installed them, but somewhere mid soft setting I think. FSD was smooth but got bouncy here and there and ready have not comfort trade off w these, and I can adjust them too. Either one I am sure you will be happy with for daily, and just mentioned it as I have not seen any trade off switching to the yellows/sport.

I have a harbor freight 200 pc or so o ring set.
I didn’t have an exact match, tried a smaller and larger one, no dice.
I moved the upper radiator hose around and it started to leak, so it was the o ring on the upper radiator hose. Cool, the kit has large o rings that should solve the leak.
But of course, the worm gear clamp on the small nipple won’t budge and there goes the nipple.

New upper radiator hose and all is well.

Yeah, that nipple sucks. I looked at where it broke, and it looks like it was slightly cracked and very slow leaking for a while. I barely touched it with a screwdriver and it fell right off.

I was going to try a generic set like you mentioned, but came across an E90 specific set on the 'Zon... hopefully it will have the right one! Back up plan is one of those Dorman end pieces! Right now just a little bit of moisture around the fitting, so it's still leaking... but less than 1% of what it was earlier!

That’s a good find for the o ring set.

They sell the end pieces for hose separately? Do you have a link?
My upper radiator hose o ring looked ok, one part of the o ring wasn’t as exposed as the rest but still passed over the plastic lip. I have replaced these o rings on the hoses in the past though with good success

fastboatster Just mentioned them here: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showt...9#post28904129 Whether they'll have the correct match up is another thing, but pretty cool bit of info!

Good shout. Ordered a bottle of Forte Petrol Injector cleaner and fuel filter - Someone told me my car doesn't have a fuel filter. It's a 320i LCI petrol auto saloon. Not sure if that's correct : but if they're right, I'll sell em off.

The injector cleaner should arrive within the week and get emptied into the tank. Rough idle's still there but not as severe, no more EML and engine doesn't turn itself off. Once I drive off, it disappears. BTW, it's almost as if the car doesn't like stop and go traffic. She's been behaving after long runs

This weekend I finally did the chrome delete. I was nervous to begin but it went very well (those felt gloves made the job easy). Now it's sitting in the sun to cure the wrap. Next is to wash, clay bar, ceramic wax (wheels included) and ready for the summer season.

If you purchase from FCB using a PayPal account you can get free return shipping on the used oil and filter from PayPal - this effectively makes your FCB sourced oil change FREE. This is how you maximize FCP's already generous return policy. Takes a little effort to box up the old oil and take to Post Office, but at the end of the day its FREE.
