N55 stutter?

I have a 2013 e92 335i 6mt. The car is FBO.

For a little while, I've had a stuttering issue, when i'd floor it from either a lower gear (especially felt in 3rd or 4th). I wasn't really "lugging" the car, but rather in the "sweet spot."

For a while, I thought it was a fuel pump issue as it first started on map 5 with e85, then just on map 5, and finally even on map 2 with no e85.

I almost always keep the car on map 2.

I always change the oil every 3k miles, but by dealing with life recently, I have not had time to change the oil.

I realized this weekend that I need to do an oil change as the last one was perfomed at 36,400 by BMW. I did the oil change at 41,200. When I asked the tech how the oil looked like, he said "a little black" (previously used oil as well as fresh oil was the BMW 5w-30 twinpower turbo oil).

I do like to get on my car here and there, but I'm normally just driving to school and then night classes for my Master's degree.

The stutter magically almost completely went away and the car feels smoother.

My question: how much damage did I do by waiting 5000 miles to do the oil change?

Yes, however, that's for a bone stock car driven by a soccer mom. My car is FBO and I tend to get on it.

Got any data or logs? Misfires, timing corrections, fuel pump pressure, octane....? Lots to check, but almost certainly not related to an oil change...

Logs checked out great. Can provide if interested.

The OP below me also has this issue, so glad i'm not alone or just making something up

Could be because I used garbage OEM oil and not the liqui-moly you used?

This is too funny. You think changing the oil a bit later had something to do with this issue ? Man thats too funny.

Look elsewhere.. oil is not the issue here. Take logs. Monitor you critical parameters.. AFR STFT FUEL pump..

Modern oils can go up to 15k miles no issue. No matter how hard you are driving it. Whether a soccer mom or you flooring it often the oil temp once at operating wont be too different.. And nothing degrades oil more than temperature. Shear too but takes time for that.
