Harmonic Damper

Just put my third one in at 150K miles. Really surprised how much smoother the car is. Duh. That said, I thought these things were fine until catastrophic failure. Given how smooth the car now feels I think it must have been dying for the last 10K miles.

Harmonic Balancer!!!

What brand are you going with? My stock one lasted me till about 120k and I went with the FAI Harmonic balancer as well as new belts, clutched alternator pulley, water pump, and thermostat. Still going strong at 135k. My x5d will get the same treatment too
