2nd gear the nitrous comes in @ 3500 rpm and is a good solid kick, still on a smaller shot so the time could even be improved a bit.
JB4 G5 - Map 3 +5psi Trunk mount meth, single CM10 Nitrous .036 jet (bottle pressure was ~900, the .042 and .046 jets @ 950-1000psi are MUCH more powerful) Godspeed FMIC (Bigtom style) CP-E Catless DP Weight ~3950 with full tank of fuel and front seat still in Last edited by amclint; 07-31-2012 at 09:38 AM.. |

2.9 wow... That's impressive.
Did you put your FMIC/downpipes on? Any 1/4 times?

This run was this morning on my way to work, unfortunately my only spot for 1/4 on the public roads fills up quickly with traffic very early. I did try a 1/4 last night, but it was ~85% humidity when I went out around 11pm and the roads were covered in dew. Still managed an 11.8 @ 120 with a mediocre 60' and crappy shifting. I'm hoping at the track, or on a dry road I can see < 11.5 @ 122-124 by switching to the larger nitrous jet and turning on my second meth nozzle. The nitrous is so confusing to my brain, because I've driven my car so much that I shift at ~6200 rpm without thinking anymore. On nitrous you actually want it to run to redline because short shifting screws up timing, is rough on the trans AND with nitrous spraying there is useable power up to 6800 rpm. Also funny is how weird it is to feel wheelspin in 2nd gear in an AWD car! |

I'll get a picture, but I ran Cobb Stage 1 last night on a stock car but it still has downpipes that I never took off.
1.8 60' and 0-60 in 4.01. Ran it a few times and it seems pretty consistent, need to switch up to Stage 1 aggressive and then try out the E30 map or stage 2+ but my battery decided to die on me yesterday at work so the car is down for now. |

Wow, this thread is really isn't making the decision between cobb and JB4 any easier... Would be nice to swap them back and forth on several cars with different mod setups to establish which is truly the fastest tune.

I just got my 09 335i x drive last week and its an auto. I have been driving stick for years and this morning when I went to launch it, had my left foot on break right on the gas. I let the car go, slammed back the shifter and threw my left food down on the break. So, aside from my ego my 50-0 took almost no time.

Cobb running a very conservative PTF e-tune with E25ish (4 gal winter e85 + 12 gal Shell VPower 93 to eliminate timing corrections) FMIC Dci Stock pipes, cats, exhaust Auto 2008 xi e90 Scoops 225/45 Alpin 3 winter tires on heavy stock wheels w/ KWv1 suspension not that it matters 35F nearly sea level Brake boosted to ca. 2200 rpm launched M1 shifted to M2 near redline Next time I'll turn off DSC with my lightweight summer wheels and tires, and brake boost to 2500 to get into the 3s... |

I'd have to say my average 0-60 is just under 4 seconds. Below are my mods. Vehicle did the 1/4 in 12.5 at 111mph. I think at that trap it should be closer to 12.2-12.3. It's pushing 400WHP and keep in mind the damn thing weighs 4055lbs.
2008 335XI Catless AR Design downpipes Full catless Autobahn Exotics exhaust (Sounds sick) AFE dual cone intake JB4 (runs were done on map 3, full meth map) Burger Tuning meth kit Burger Tuning upgraded charge pipe ETS 5" FMIC Opening the exhaust up helped, but the biggest gains are from the JB4 and the meth kit. The rest helps the car breathe better. I love my XI. |
