I will be buying the M-tech bumper and the 335i Duke Dynamics dual diffuser (the one with the middle fins).

I want to cut out the tips on my 328i BMW Performance exhaust, add an extension pipe to the right side and install new tips (or the PE ones but seperated).

Would it affect the noise or the car's performance? I don't want to ruin my exhaust because I put a lot of money into it!
If anyone knows, is this feasible?

I've already seen it on this forum (the one with the Montego blue color), but not on a BMW PE... That's where I'm concerned.

Thanks!
Hey bud! How's the conversion? Did you make it happen? If yes, do you have sound clips i can listen?

Thanks

Does sound or performance increase from doing this?

if you go for a "true dual" setup, you're gonna need a shallow trunk bin as well.
I hear you on the ocd thing as well. Same lol...
It made me sad when my ladies little mazda 6 with a 4cyl had a dual exhaust from factory and I'm sitting there like...

Haha. While I do think the dual look of the 335 is sweet, and obviously the M3's quads are just nasty (in a good way).. I personally enjoy the 328's exhaust exit, as to me it is OG BMW 3er.

All the e90 msport bumpers SHOULD be the same. The only issue I can foresee is having 1 component (bumper or diffuser) be oem and the other a non oem part which may require some slight cutting in certain areas to make it work.

You got this, dude!

so here was my Saturday! 6 hours to get everything perfect but well worth it.

process was
measure, cut, sand, polish, tack weld and repeat. after everything was in place we removed the tack welding and welded it properly, 2000 degree heat resistant gloss black paint, mounted the muffler back on and there you have it 6 hours later me and my friend did it he asked for $225 i gave him $350 for the good job.

what do u think?!

I think it looks good but those sharp bends before the tips can’t be good for flow?

Looks pretty!
Like Big said, the sharp bend is questionable, but I think one of the actual kits has that bend on the passenger side, unless its a dummy pipe.

Good job DIY'ing it, though!
Let us know how it works out.

so far so good, the sound hasn't changed with is good but i def can feel slight performance/acceleration decrease from the bends. im not racing over here so honestly i really dont care cause its so minimal. but yea the bends are 90 degrees.... still passing the daily drivers on highways no problem though.

its the best we can get

bends are 90 degrees but yes def notice slight decrease in accelerations at under 2.5 rpms. very minimal though, i wanted a functional exhaust rather than a dummy pipe. def happy with the outcome though

You did great.
If I attempted a DIY, I'd have some cock eyed pipes. :
