Bimmertech amp hi fi stereo vs e90 HK

Hey guys
I have a e90 with the hifi stereo which much say is prettt nice sounding!!

Would the bimmertech amp male the sound better than the base e90 hk system?

If I keep my car I was thinking bimmertech amp and ghost woofers - to start then maybe the door speakers...

First of all your terminology is somewhat confusing.
BMW makes three system (at least those are the common ones)
Base system no amp no tweeters.
Hi Fi tweeters and a 6 channel amp
HK =top hi fi or logic 7 (and a enhanced verstion)13 or 11 speaker 9 channels

Which one did you start with.
Bimmertech uses the Helix 82dsp or 86dsp last time I looked.
Helix also has a BMW7 now.

Bimmertech gives you a compete amp kit . There original kit was for the
Hi Fi system they also make a kit for the base system.(with the base system
they also give you coding to Hi Fi or did)
They also have there own speakers now.
For speakers
I would suggest speaker kits from Helix , Gladen or Audio systems.
If you really want to go high end Jehnert and Morel.

You might call Unexpected Creations and talk to Don about a kit.
Most people report the Helix amps to be way better than HK with decent aftermarket speakers.

Actually the Hi Fi is pretty mediocre at best falls right apart when you turn it
up. Ear fatigue at slightly loud volumes. I had one.

bimmertech is more powerful than e90 HK (560-600W vs 425 W) but with HK you'll have more channels
and bimmertech and helix are plug and play upgrades for bmw hifi system while for HK install you'll need add 3 channels and replace all speakers and amp
from other side there is bmw individual/EPS audio system which have more powerful amp (800W) and high quality speakes

Thanks guys- for clarity I have hifi stereo without the front center speaker - so amp, rear deck speakers , front door speakers , teeters, and subs under seat-
So trying to think first step- bimmertech or nav auto amp?

I really like how the hifi sounds , it's really good for a stock system looking to improve it

Do you want improved sound or features.
Nav's are about features.

Is this a center speaker in my 2011 hifi set up? I can't tell if it's a speaker in there or not?

what is a Nav Sound since I have never heard of one .
Show a link. (Since I can't find it in a search)
Its not something that has ever been mentioned here as
far as I can tell and usually the better stuff is.

No e90 with Hi Fi has a center speaker only the Logic 7 does
if if is had one there would be grill in the center instead of
solid plastic. Center speakers are overrated.

ha thanks ctuna, figured after staring at the pic long enough, and asshuming the vents are the hvac and the center solid piece otherwise the speaker grill if present.

You are the resident audio pro, what you say? Bimmertech amp and speakers? The entire package is like 2000 (includes the rear deck speakers)

From who?
you are not being specific its really hard
to know what you mean.
where did you get this quote?
That wouldn't surprise me from a pro shop.
(Like musicarnw or unexpected creations)
Are you going to DIY?
From bimmertech(Helix 82dsp) alone the amp was slightly under 1000
Most three way front area sets that have some quality are
around 500.

The Hi Fi only has 6 speaker positions.
2 underseats.
I would not upgrade the rear speakers they don't contribute
that much to the sound.

Bimmertech amp and bluetooth module

Hey guys, i'm new to car stuff.
I just bought bimmertech amp which is basically Match pp86dsp amp.

https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/m...fiers/pp-86dsp

So the question here is, will the Bluetooth module for match amp fit in my bimmertech amp?

Bluetooth module ==>https://www.audiotec-fischer.de/en/m...ec-bt-pp-86dsp

The guy in bimmertech amp said they haven't tested it, so they don't know it for sure.

Yes, it does.

No, coding the vehicle has nothing to do with the amp. Insert it then turn it on in the software.

So i emailed bimmertech and audiotec fischer to make sure the bluetooth module will work, and bimmertech reply me with this:
“ We checked it with our technician. Unfortunately our amp is modified so it won't work with any Bluetooth modules.”

But audiotec fischer reply me with this:
“ You can use the MEC BT module for the PP 86 also in your Bimmertech amplifier (please make sure that you have the PP 86 and not the PP 82DSP.”

Whom should i trust? I’m confused, and the bluetooth module isn’t cheap, it cost 275usd in my country
