My third radiator
As the title says I am need of my third radiator now. I just had the radiator and water pump replaced a little over two years ago now. I wanna say the replacement is a behr.
I'm lost for words as the cooling system in my car has been really bad over the past few years. Everything except for a couple hoses have already been replaced. The frustration is real. Keep in mind my car is bone stock and has been always. I have a little over 110k miles and it's a daily driver. I definitely drive the car hard but it also sits in a lot of stop and go traffic on hot days. I got quoted anywhere from 6-700 for an oem to about 8-900 for a cfs and the dealer wants about 1050$. I'm not sure which route I should go since going to the Indy last time close about 800$ and the radiator didn't even last 3 years. I'm just unsure of what I should do at this point as getting the cfs seems excessive for my use but I really don't want another behr just to last a couple more years! Any advice or opinions would be appreciated |

Did the old radiator have holes in the middle? The front air opening has kinda large gaps that pebbles and things can go though and puncture. you could try and put a finer mesh screen to stop some of it. Just a thought.

Go for the CFS one. I thought they are around $500 for the radiator? Lower water temps!

I have no idea to be honest but I don't think so. I was leaking from the bottom passenger side and steaming outta one of the hoses on the driver side. I have a 2007 335 so n54. I was thinking cfs but after reading about it decided to go factory radiator. Just want the job done right and have no issues in the future (probably only keep the car for another year)

I believe csf has a stock size one for a little over $100. I am currently running that one leak free for about 6 months so far. When installing a csf aluminum, how do you guys account for the fan as it seems pretty tight with the stock radiator?
