This is possible with INPA. On my e90 325i you can adjust the idle +-250. Once you adjust the idle, there is an option to save it permanently. You can adjust the idle with or with AC. Very helpful.
Obviously I don't have it in front of me for a step by step but the location in INPA has been mentioned above. |

Didn't stick for me. If you have adjusted permanently, please let me know! Thanks!
The method I used: Open INPA\engine\Msd80\F9\F4\F6 then enter the nominal value of idle speed |

Thanks! I will look into this tonight. I was able to save in INPA through another option on the same screen. It says 250RPM, seems more like 100. Better than nothing I guess.

If you don't mind posting a picture of that screen, I can help you identify the save option. |

Here is where I saved it. F6. However, I set it to the max (250), and it only raised the RPM maybe 100rpm or so.

Try adjusting to -250 and save it. see if you can tell the difference. I also noticed that you have msd80 so the steps / options may be different. I can confirm this works on 325i ECU msv70 as I have done it on my car.

Basic Functions / Engine / DME / Adjustment / Idle Speed I'll double check it later if you don't sort it with INPA. |

There's a lot of conflicting reports whether or not it saves and it did for me. On the version of ISTA+ on the forums, I was able to go to Service Functions > Powertrain > Adjust Idle RPM > Option 2 (Program value). There was an option to just test the RPM value and not program it. It saved for me, but only allowed -50 to +150 on a 2006 330i.

MHD for the N54/Andoird does this perfectly. Much easier than IMPA etc. Mine is set at 900RPMs because of my clutch/flywheel. FYI.
