The only main thing to sort out is the tach and I have that all figured out. Commercial version of the can adapter coming soon.

Car is not sold! Still have it a drive it. Mostly used to develop the swap parts, but they are pretty solid at this point and have sold many sets.

I've been following this for awhile, so you have transmission adapter plates, motor mounts, and a canbus adapter coming soon. Does the car function as stock now?

Snap,

Can this swap be done on a XI car? I have a 328XI 6 speed car that I looking to do an LS swap or a S62 swap wna keep the AWD. I'm fairly certain I can keep the AWD and get a V8 swapped in. Now the question is which V8?

I don't mean to be a downer, but how do you plan to have the oil-pan mounted differential setup on an LS?

Was thinking the same thing...maybe you could get an LS from a 4wd pickup and swap in the whole drivetrain...

Maybe this approach would work? Just add the whole truck frame under the car!

Really? That is way down the list of issues with and XI/LS swap. I am more concerned with whether the Trans case controller interfaces with the ecu and how that occurs. If that piece is independent of the engine (i.e. the servo motor controlling the front/rear split takes its signal from ABS) I think the swap can be done seamlessly on a XI car.

So interestingly enough, some google image searching shows that the trailblazer SS uses an LS2 with an oil pan that has a hole through it and the diff sitting next to it running an axle through. I wonder if the whole trailblazer SS drivetrain would fit into an E90, since the transfer case is a mechanical torsen setup with no modules needed to control it.

No idea if it would fit or not. Probably not. But its an interesting thought experiment.

Do you/can you make all the parts needed to put the single on? I have a 6266 on my N54 currently. Also, do you or anyone know what these motors are capable of handling reliably? How much psi and how much hp/tq?

I looked at the site and noticed there wasn't anything on electronics/canbus stuff. Will that be available in the future?

Hey Snapc33
I have my e60 ls swap in progress...6.0l ls is in place and getting brackets in place. Question about oe wiring harness... I am using ac, power steering, alternator and temp sensor. Can I cut all other wiring from the oe loom that's not going to be used?

Thumbs up turbo ls swapped e90

dear snapc33,
that LS turbo swap is an awesome project, I have started my own swap of an lq4 engine into my e92 and would like some of your kind assistance...if possible.
Living in South Africa, means these kind of swaps are not easy for us, as parts .. especially modified parts ie engine mounts....manifolds are very difficult to come by.

hope to hear from you.
