Noises are some of the hardest things to diagnose in person let alone through some speakers on the computer through a camera that has a so-so mic.

Let the tech do his thing when you bring your car back in. I'm sure he'll figure out what's going on. He may have a headset with some mics where he can pinpoint noises better and get it figured out pretty quickly.

I am sorry but I don't trust most tech especially at BMW Dealerships. Countless times I've brought my car in for a minor issue and come out with them supposedly fixing something else then ends up failing even worse. I find that BMW at least the dealership over here, just loves to do parts changing.

I agree there are some dealerships that take advantage of people. And many dealerships now higher young guys with 0 experience.

Why I recommend finding a good reputable indy shop ASAP as soon as your car is out of warranty.

I would still trust a certified BMW tech over a bunch of forum members listening to a youtube video.

And BTW I am not a tech.

I think they have some sort of procedure they have to go through. Which unfortunately involves taking things apart that we the owners, dont want them to.

I was hoping someone could point out something I was missing,...ie: where to look and see if perhaps I could do a quick fix myself and not have to take it in, but that didnt seem to happen

But I completely agree with trusting a BMW certified tech.

I def understand. If another member had a chipmunk in their car and could tell you immediately what to do or look for that's great.

But when it becomes 3 pages of just suggestions, its just time to let the tech do his thing.

I think she is doing to Tech thing, good thing is her car is under warranty since it's fairly new.

I still think it will turn out to be something with the brakes and/or suspension.

You are awfully sassy tonight...As for the sound under the glovebox, it wouldn't mean anything, other than it's the same sound I hear when I'm breaking, and I, gladly, would follow your lead

BMW called me...

Front rotors worn. Brakes replaced. One side was worn down to 19mm the other was at 29mm. Well at least it wasnt anything major. I feel kind of silly now. I pick up my car Monday.

I was following this thread to see what caused it.
Don't feel silly. I've asked sooo many questions and that's how I learn more.
THankfully it wasn't anything major. Now you can offer help for the next person that this happened to..

As much as I really want to believe that it was just the brake system, the whole time....I felt like it had to be something else, ya know? I guess I'll see for myself when I go to get my car back and see if the sounds come back at all.

Yeah, I hear what you're saying. I'd have thought the same too. I mean I never heard something like that with my brakes.
I'm crossing my fingers that it's fixed for ya!
