e90 328i radio will not turn off. Help!!

This is the first time this has happened, the radio will stay on no matter if I have the key inside ignition, I check the radio fuse, replaced it, reset the battery , it still remains on .

Lock doors, open doors radio will not turn off.

Any help?

07 328i , what will cause a radio to stay on? , everything else is working normal.

I had an Eonon 7165ga system, I switch back to BMW professional to make sure it wasnt the eonon, the Bmw Professional is also staying on, I checked the harness, reset Car by removing battery, once I reset car the radio instantly back came on ..without any key in ignition. Im totally confused and its driving me crazy cause the radio will drain the Car battery.

Did you modify the factory harness for Eonon?
What happens if you press he volume knob which
is the on off button?

Radio power is switched by the 30g relay according to the above diagram. Should be switched off when the car goes to sleep.

Have you tried locking the car and waiting a few minutes
this would indicate that relay 30g is turning off the stuff it should if the radio is switched off.

Didn't modify anything to Eonon ..just plug and play.

The RAd 2 system, does turn off when the key is removed , however it is still always on if i press the power button , so it doesn't sleep.

Only the radio is not sleeping as far as I can tell, so Im thinking i may need to change the 30g relay, maybe its bad?

The Eonon will stay on no matter what, unless i press the power button off, but if i press it on ; its instantly on.

I already did factory reset on Eonon, but I know once the RAd system is fixed it should fix the Eonon.

Before yesterday , the Eonon would sleep and turn off upon key pull or door open like regular system.

I removed the black 30g relay, and its warm. Which I think it should not be if I just came to the car. Maybe its the relay.

Looks like something is keeping the car from going to sleep.
A lot of things can do this including doors , trunk, key fob
a phone that is paired and in range.
If you read the first electrical pdf this is explained.

thanks

I read the diagram.

The car is going to sleep but only the radio isn't. I checked the relay its fine.. so now im checking all the fuses. Pretty annoying. The only issue is the radio is not going to sleep without the key.. If i remove the key The RAD2 system will cut off but if i press on , it will come on (which it shouldn't) without key inside ingition

So I take it you have the regular key and not comfort access?
With comfort access as long as the remote is in radio range
of the car is awake. Locking the car should turn off the radio though.

this car has no comfort access..

328i base model,

some minor success, i went through all the fuses and the light dome light fuse by removing and inserting, triggered the RAD 2 SYSETM to shut down and now it doesn't stay on anymore and doesn't come on without ignition.

So the basic BMW RAD SYSTEM IS OK.
Checked THE RELAY ITS FINE.

The eonon 7165ga still remains on while no key in ignition, the fuse for that unit isn't blown..........either the canubus decoder is bypassing the shutoff or its not working, i went through every fuse and all are intact.

Im worried that this radio Eonon 7165a is drawing current since it cant sleep or be put to sleep and i may have a dead battery one day.

Now im trying to figure out why this Eonon is still getting power after Car sleeps, the harness is directly connecting to the BMW harness, plug and play.

There is a bunch of Eonon user threads here maybe they can shed some light also the Dynavin threads may be of some use.

Yes,

At least the RAd is working correctly.

Tested Can bus decoder and power leads.. No power to unit when Can bus is not connected,

Unit will not function without Can bus decoder Connected.

Full power when Can Bus decoder is..The unit only turns on and also upon unlocking the Car by the Can Bus system . Unit will not shut off or sleep when key is not in ignition. I think something in the Can bus decoder is making the CAr hott or ready at all times.
