Look for the "Flying Money" handle on here.

This has been fun, but I gotta roll.

Will be back later to check for crucial updates, etc.

I really liked the 162s.
Easy to clean, look very good on the e90.
wheel wax them before you put them on. they collect brake dust like
you won't believe. the wheel wax makes it easier to remove it.
and the dust sticks less.

Good luck.

Thanks, Franko. Good tip. If I manage to get the 162s, I'll post before/after shots.

I waxed my wheels this weekend and that should help keep the nasties off for a while...

This is another benefit of M6 rims... they hide the dust so well.
almost 2 weeks and haven't had to clean them yet.

There is almost no surface area for the M6 rims. Smart move!

Finally found some!

Just made a deal with a member in Texas to buy his 162s with 900 miles and in mint condition.

Now, the question for Donny: What was that you said at the meet about putting spacers on the back? Where'd you get yours? 15mm?

Looks like a plan. I wish I could post what it would like with spacers, but for now, I can go from this (top picture) to this (bottom). I like the 159s, but I think it's an improvement. And it'll look better with spacers. Then it's just a matter of getting sway bars and having spool lower it and then ... uh-oh.

Guess we need to set up a mini-meet to install them?

Swoop's woman decided she didn't want to sell hers, so I posted a WTB on the wheels and tires forum. Guy in Texas contacted me. His have 900 miles and are in perfect shape. Going rate: $1,500 plus shipping, with the standard Bridgestone run-flats. Too bad he doesn't have Contis on 'em.

Really, it's not a bad deal when you consider the tires or wheels alone cost about that much new.

I'm not reposting. I swear.

I should have them by Friday, June 29. I'd love to do a DIY. Maybe on Saturday the 30th?

I'd have to find someone who could host, though, because of where I live. Grrrr.

I'm definitely game for a get-together.
