335i fuel pump issue

Hi guys, having a bit of trouble here

My 335i has went into bmw with what looks to be a hpfp issue and low pressure sensor

I am of the understanding that the fuel pump was a recall and it has been done on my car, the issue is, I have read on numerous posts that the pump is then covered by a 10 year, 100,000 mile warranty?
Can anyone confirm this or know of somewhere legit that this is true? Bmw have just had the nerve to ask me to prove this if it is true then they might not charge me £500 for a new pump

As far as i was aware, the 10 year/100,000 mile warranty was only for cars within California

There will be a good will repair case here. Give BMW customer service HQ a call and explain your circumstance.

Unfortunately over this side of the pond we don't seem to have the same willingness to take large organisations to court like in the States, hence why over there the wastegate rattle on the N54 turbos and the HPFP were all covered under an extended warranty. But if you ask hard enough with customer services then usually they will offer a goodwill gesture either in full or part towards the replacement.
