Fuel filter/regulator and LPFP

Has anyone replaced their fuel filter/regulator before that could offer their experiences? I got a leak on the rear driver side area coming from the fuel filter and regulator. Babbit quoted me $400 in labor and AZ Bimmer quoted me $200. I saw a Youtube video of some guy doing it in 10 minutes, so I was thinking about doing it myself. Is it just dangerous enough for me to just suck it up and pay AZ Bimmer? If anyone knows a cheaper shop, that would be great too.

Finally getting some body work done and deciding on whether to go mtech or m3 rep for my prelci e90. Looks like there are no more mtech oem bumpers and a reps 450 + shipping + 400 in various parts. M3 reps much cheaper and doesn't require extra parts as much as I know. Any locals go in either of these directions.

Multiple places. Oem e90 pre lci mtech bumpers can no longer be ordered into the U.S. According to Tischer, my body shop, and local BMW dealer.

Wound up ordering an m3 rep. Going to get the damage fixed in the next couple weeks. Then maybe some arc 8s for Christmas. I'm thinking WSI to get the fitment down unless you guys know of a better shop.

Does anybody around Phx have a spare e90 mtech lip or splitter? I just need one to test for fitment on my aftermarket bumper.

Just arrived in the Phoenix area... actually, Gilbert, AZ. Would be interested in meeting other enthusiasts after driving in from Mid-Atlantic DMV area.

My ride:

Welcome to the greater Phoenix area. There is an active Facebook group for BMW enthusiasts and there is the local chapter of the BMWCCA that is also active, PM for more information.

Thanks. They quoted me $470 OTD with the 10% first timer discount. I think thats a tad much so I'll try talking them down and calling a few more places. Is there a cost difference between my GM and the trans in the 335s?

Yes, the ZF transmission (335i) filter kit and the transmission fluid is more expensive as compared to the GM transmission. The best price I found for the filter kit was at GetBMWParts.com and the fluid I bought locally because there was not much saving online after paying the shipping. I paid like $11 per quart for the Dexron 6 at Chapman and if I recall, the transmission fluid for the ZF transmission is almost double that. With the ZF transmission the filter is integrated into the transmission pan, hence the additional expense.

I had Munich Motors do my transmission fluid change but I supplied the parts, which saved some money.
