Newbie here - stereo question
Hi all,
first post here so please bear with me, ive just picked up my 2007 320d msport coupe and im very very happy as i went from my 320d E46 which i had for 8 years, im interested in swapping the stereo to a newer model which i believe has the bluetooth and usb functionality, (correct me if im wrong) and that once its in it needs to be coded to the car? is this right?i only want to use BMW parts not aftermarket or change the head unit completely. thanks again Steve |

It's not the stereo itself that needs replacing, there's different control modules in the boot that need to be added and coded.

https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/391646142960 It's a decent option as the MULF2 is a pain to retrofit. However, I hope the OP realises that BT Retrofit in this way will NOT give A2DP music streaming. It's for telephone connectivity only. Here's a Retrofit link: http://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=687463 |

Have a good read of that thread I posted. You will require coding using NCSExpert.
If you aren't experienced then people in the coding section will help. There are a couple of alternative options you might want to consider also, aftermarket Dension Gateway or Blueway unit are good. The Blueway will give you USB and Bluetooth music streaming. |
