You would be incorrect

Got it last Thursday. Much smoother and more powerful than stock. This is the way the car should have come from the factory

Given my difficulties launching an XI with a 6mt its atleast a half second faster to 60 than stock. This using a Beltronics Vector FX2 so take this with a grain of salt (whatever that means). This was also the day after so I don't know if it would change after a few more days.

Highly recommended tune for those without a factory oil cooler

Because Dinan's S2 and S3 flashes require either an oil cooler (S2) or an oil cooler + an IC (S3) before you can get them.

I, for example, am one of the unlucky guys who ordered a sport pkg equipped 335 but got no factory oil cooler. . . I even have the square spot where it's supposed to be in my fender, yet its empty.

in other words , oil cooler not required. but if you have an oil cooler its better off for you to get the stg2 for only $500 more you get allot more power.

you know if you take it to the dealer and ask them, they do free retro if you have sports package and didn't have OC. My friend just got that done couple months ago. Unfortunately, mine doesn't have sports package...

Oh, I see.
Thank God it's that easy now. . . . . a year ago, when we first realized this, we had to convince our dealers. So I'm extremely enthused that they are readily given to those who truly deserve them (people with sport pkg and no oil cooler).

Looks like I'll be saving a few extra hundreds and going straight for the stg 2 flash.

Sure there is a big difference between stgI vs stgII.

I am sure there is a big difference between stgI vs stgII in real feel too. But I really don't know how much more realistically the feel of stgIII is compared to stgII. The gains are kind of puny. Unless the spread is dramatic and a lot higher before peak, I don't know. I have been wondering forever and would also like to see real dynos so we can see what it looks like.

335iBaller has stgIII but I don't think he had current stgII so maybe he can't really tell us. Anyway his butt dyno comparison input would be appreciated too.
