I have a 2012 e92 with the bmw professional radio. No i-Drive and no Bluetooth audio, only Bluetooth phone call functionality. I exclusively use my iPhone to listen to music in my car.
When I push the main power button on the radio it always defaults to FM, which is incredibly annoying because it's always some crappy song or an ad that's WAY too loud. Then I have to push the "audio" button on the top left and select usb, or cycle through the audio sources using my steering wheel button. I'd like to code it so that whenever I push the main power button on the radio it automatically turns on in iPod/usb mode, completely bypassing FM. I'm ok with not having Bluetooth audio as I always plug in my phone while driving to charge the battery anyway, not to mention the better audio quality over usb as opposed to Bluetooth. |
