You don't need one for an autox. Spoilers/wings only become relatively important around 60mph and during rather large sweepers, not 40mph and even-surface small turns.

HP Autosport is 100% right in this. Autox is about tires, quick transitions and driver skill.

For sure. Lot of good tires out there but look at AD08s, RS3s, Michelin (although they are expensive). In terms of a sway bar, if you don't plan on doing a full suspension set (coils and choice of spring rate) than roll bars will help.

As others said you don't need aero for auto-x

Before you start spending money you should just get seat time and see how you do in your class, and then later decide where and how you want to compete. That'll determine what to spend money on.
