Need help with P/N compatibility
I need a replacement driveshaft. I see some on EBay with the same part number but a different number following the dash. I believe this to be the rev number. Can anyone confirm compatibility?
Mine is 7558504-04 I found a 7558504-03 Will it work? Thanks! |

The numbers after the dash is usually the index number. Which is a revised/updated number/part.

Those are not BMW part numbers, nor do they resemble any.
Just a guess but it's possible that BMW didn't actually make the driveshafts and that the number you see is the OE manufacturers number. That's the case for the ABS pump for example. I believe that there are different driveshafts for automatic vs manual transmissions, and in addition, there were changes in length at least twice pre-LCI and at least once again for LCI. Be very careful. Go to realoem.com, enter your VIN and see what it comes up with for a part number. Then search for that on-line. Last edited by dpaul; 02-20-2020 at 01:20 PM.. |

Ok, I'm not saying those actually numbers are BMW part numbers, I'm saying that that format of numbers could be numbers for a BMW part. That's why I asked him year/make/model

OK - I take it all back!
According to RealOEM the current part number for the 335is DCT driveshaft is: 26107614433 However, that supercedes this number: 26107558504 (1453mm long) Which as previously suggested by WoodE30, contains the last 7 digits of the number present on the OP's driveshaft. So I was completely wrong, once again. |
