I recently filled my DEF tanks at a truck stop, It will overflow so you have to wait in between filling it slowly, it worked for me and the dreaded DEF warning went away.
So worth a shot. Also if your DPF ever says it's clogged, Buy a DPF cleaner fuel additive, Autoprofi's stuff on Amazon worked wonders for me! |

I wonder if it's a good idea to run the DEF cleaner just to do it. My wife's car has 100k. The cap was crusty when I recently filled it. No issues with it though.
