Xpel and other "films"

What is your take on these front films?
I already got a rock in the hood during my ED and its a dark colored car. I've never used these films before anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Dunno. I keep going back and forth. I would do it in a minute if it weren't so expensive. I think a good protector 'clear bra' professionally installed can be upwards of $800.
Assuming no dents, just some chips and scratches, you could probably get the front and hood repainted for that much.

$800 seems kinda high, no?

not sure about dark cars, but on alpine white and other light colors you would have a 2 tone colored car after a summer or two...

turned me off on the idea...

I was wondering about the fading too. Does anyone have any experience with that? Also could you take it off if you wanted or is it there forever?

Yes they are removable, so that you can replace it if it gets scratched, smudged, discolored, etc. I'm also debating putting this on, albeit doing the install myself.
