That bump is the tip of the iceberg, whats happening behind tha sidewall is the concern and canbe or will be a much larger issue that you will never know from the outside until it fails……replace the tire.

I had the same thing once many years ago on another car - left it because I couldn't afford to replace it, one night at dinner hear a gunshot go off in my front yard. Looked out to see a flat tire.

So either someone shot my tire...
Or it just spontaneously burst.

Don't mess with your rubber.

I drove a few hundred miles on a much bigger bump in my stock runflats, including quite a few stretches above 100mph. Nothing happened. That said, it's definitely not recommended. You should replace the tire ASAP. I replaced mine when my girlfriend joined that road trip.

My roommate managed to bruise his tire like this on a (fucking giant) pothole the other day, required replacing. Definitely not a good idea to leave it that way for longer than absolutely necessary, but it's probably not going to kill you or the car.

Many years ago I had a front tire on my e30 blow out. Part of the tire peeled off and did a LOT of damage to my front fender. Dangerous and potentially expensive to leave it, I wouldn't play with it.

Got lucky. This needs replacement, this tire is dangerous.

Happened to me 2 weeks ago. Replace ASAP. The tire was torn badly in the inside.

Hahaha. Cool. My buddy shoots only Nikon. Great stuff.
