aFe Magnum Force Stage 2 Pro 5R Air Intake...risks?

One of my buddies gave me an aFe Magnum Force Stage 2 Pro 5R Air Intake System.

Seen here: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/afe-50-81472

Currently my e92 is bone stock with MHD ACN91 stage 1 that I flashed a few days ago.

My question: Are there any risks associated with swapping my oem intake for this aFe intake?

I am well aware that hp gains are minimal, but that last thing I want to do is jeopardize engine life/components since this is my daily.

Also, I have done some searching on this forum but only see "for sale" threads for this intake, not much information.

No risks but most companies won't ship that intake to CA.

That intake along with the AFE Momentum GT are one of the best options for an actual performance gain.

Install it! It's not like it's a 100 shot of nitrous. It's a filter and plastic that directs air

lol, I think I read to many horror stories which has jaded me.

Additionally, I come from the land of WRX/STI where everyone and their mothers blow up engines

Well here in N54 world it's a bit different, instead of the land of blown engines, the most common issues here are misfires and what not..

I planned on keeping my car stock as well, than I had a rear turbo die on me, which led me to going FBO + E85 and now swapping in some VTT turbos that I won haha.. So yeah, the mod bug hit me pretty hard.. But luckily, every thing that has happened to me, had already happened to tons of others, so searching for answers and help wasn't hard at all.. But I also do all my own work, so no labor fee's made it a bit more feasible on my wallet..

Nice! Sounds like the MOD bug did hit you.

I just got my e92 about a month ago. So am going FBO all in one go and focusing on maintenance from there on out.

I will preface that statement with the fact that I have changed sparks, coils, all fluids, and all filters. Leak free and no misfires.....for now
