Auto-Vox back up camera, dash cam, and lane departure assist. (digital rear view mirr

Here's an option for whose without back up camera. I have PDC and this now so it works well together. Lane departure warning works like a charm! $250

How does it work as a mirror, does it have auto dimming?

How wide is that thing? From the angles you took it almost looks like the jumbotron at Jerry's world...

I thought I read in some reviews on Amazon there was a dimming issue? Would love to hear positive remarks since this one made more sense vs their "Pro" model that required replacing my whole mirror (with its garage door options, alarm clown button, directional and built in rain sensor).

Looks like X1 model (9.88" screen)

Also curious about this. I haven't done much reading yet but it's unclear if this is literally a "digital rear-view mirror" or if it functions like the reflective rear-view mirror/back-up screen combo found in some domestic vehicles.

Here's more on the auto vox x 1

I did installation is about hour and a half. It's directly hard wired to my 12v so install starts recording right when ignition is turned on.

I found the 9.88" X2 on Amazon and it has a superior rear view camera over the X1. I will probably give it a shot since the reviews are really good on it and it's only $10.00 more.

I really like the autodimming feature of my stock mirror but I really hate having rear PDC with no camera. The past week I have been driving my 2002 Camry and at night I really miss the autodimming rear view.

I don't have any complaints regarding this one. Right now it's 104 F outside and no issues with heat either. Hard wired into my 12v. I can still use my garage door on my existing mirror as this mirror simply clamps onto the existing one. Lane departure system works great for the most part. Excellent on highway. Video quality is pristine! You can also take pictures if needed.

Keep us posted on how its going . Especially interested in the auto dim feature or if there are issues at night with the mirror (vs the video).

Wish I had pulled the trigger on Prime Day.

Where did you tap for the reverse lights?

There's a wire that's attached to the reverse camera I tapped it into the reverse lights. I went along with the existing wiring that Bmw had already laid out.

I think it's one of the best things I've added. Definitely better then buying an after market I drive unit which cost more then $600

Ah okay, I have a 2011 so I'll have to do some research.

This isn't by chance connected to CANBUS somehow right? I'd love for that to be true...

It's not, it's connected to the rear reverse lights. When those kick on the back up camera kicks on. You can use the mirror as a digital mirror as well when your driving for a wide angle rear view mirror when driving normally
