30FF

i had this weird problem for a few times since last 2 weeks. on normal driving, if i do occasional WOT, car was running fine and boost is normal. but if i do couple gears WOT, let's say from 2nd - 4th WOT all gears, as soon as it shifted to 4th, i always get 30FF code and also i do hear a louder "air hissing/inhaling" noise.

and after that and plug in the AP, i do notice the boost is lower than usual but not low enough to trigger another 30FF. currently running cobb S1+ and i should see ~15psi average and tapper down to 12psi towards redline. with that incident happens, max boost i can only see 10.9psi.

which area should i narrow down the possibility?

current setup: cobb s1+, ets fmic, forge dv, bmw pe.

thanks for all the help!

the usual suspects: charge pipe, dvs , intercooler connection. Check first Dvs.

i just went to the garage and checked. without jacking up the car and inspect the couplers from the IC to the pipes, all the visible area were checked. only thing was odd is one of the DV wasn't sit totally in to the connector. i ensured they were sit flush when i did the install. so i pushed it back down and re-lock the grey tab. i'll monitor the boost again tomorrow and hopefully i can find a road allows me to do 2-3-4th gear WOT again and try it out.

Can boost leak and that 30FF code trigger other codes and make you go into limp mode? went wot last nite and after i go past 100mph i get into a limp mode scanned the car and saw 30ff and 2fbc i think, now i just had hpfp replaced few months ago, would totally suck if its a hpfp again..

If you can hear the leak its obviously very large.

Im check to make sure your charge pipe hasn't popped off the throttle body.
