I keep seeing things things all over the 335i/N54 FB Groups.......

Any info as to if they are any better than all of the other run of the mill cheap ebay turbos out there? Any details on internal parts, materials, if they are actually balanced on good equipment, etc, etc, etc....?

The ones I saw online were going for around $1,400 a pair......could be a good deal, could not......but without knowing what's actually inside those things, it's hard for anyone to tell. They all look nice on the outside......

Exactly. VIV 19Ts are ~$1000. I highly doubt these are any better.

Had a look at the pricing, $1349 for Stage 2 turbos? sounds like good old chinesium ones, where are these turbos made?

Never heard of them till now, any evidence of reliability?

So first you said they are only good if they are cheap, after seeing the price they are now too cheap?

The product was just released 2 days ago, that's why you never heard of it and you probably won't find any evidence of reliability yet.

Let's wait 6 months to 1 year before making any claims, good or bad.

I asked about reliability, asked where it was made, you ignored it again.

You obviously know, price is not the only factor, but dodging the questions.

So basically, just have to risk it and hope these are reliable non chinesium ones?

Nope, I gave you the best possible answer without any marketing BS.

The product has just been released. Give it six months to 1 year, and we will have a more accurate answer. Until then, it's all speculation.

CTS, not I make it. I do not know where they make their products. Probably China like 99% of manufacturers but im not 100% sure. Check with them if that's a concern.

Again, im giving you direct and honest answers without any marketing BS.

This is another option on the market; some people are willing to try it, others are not. Give it six months to 1 year, and we'll have a better idea of reliability and how much power it can safely make.

No one is asking you to risk anything; you are not being forced to buy it.

Feel free if you are interested in an upgraded turbo and are willing to wait for others to try it. If not, get a different brand.

I don't get all the negativity

lol, getting defensive. Your selling it, so obviously you should be prepared to answer questions about the product.

I don't like rolling a dice, so I won't be buying chinesium turbos.

The negativity is due to cheap Chinese turbos which seem like rolling a dice and hoping you end up with a half decent turbo.

Hundreds of people, CTS cannot keep them in stock; they keep running out.

No issues have been reported to us so far.

I've seen dozens of people on the FB groups saying that they bought them...and that was 2-3 months ago. I have yet to see one single review of them. At this point, with no data on them...no reviews, I'm just going to assume they are rebadged ebay VIV type turbos.

I bought a set of the CTS Stage 2+ Turbos, I was one of the early purchasers on FB that you probably saw speaking out of optimism. They are actually getting installed on the car tomorrow morning, we just got the pure600's off the car today. I will update the post whenever we get logs running and everything.

They use the same housings and manifolds that DAW, VTT, VIV , Frankenturbo and now CTS. VIV is a china company and never claimed differently.. the rest of them are China drop shippers. They just pay to put their name on the same product. I watch the forums pretty closely and the first four I named have had failures so I'm sure CTS isn't far behind.

Unfortunately these companies are heavily into marketing and all these Facebook and Instagram kids just soak it up without really doing their homework.

Rob Beck is the only true N54 turbo builder.. people who know.. well they know and they're turbos haven't failed. Rob is a one man show which is why his turbos are absolutely perfect.

At some point all the young pups that buy these cars and modify them.. realize that you have to pay to play.

And that's when they are start to sell them And I 100% agree with what you said regarding RB turbos.......they are absolutely the best. If Rob would spend some more time/money on marketing....I bet he could pick up a huge amount of business...but who knows, he might be at capacity as far as his shop goes.

I couldn't believe that amount of chatter and advertisements I sad on the web with the CTS turbos came out....and now it's pretty much crickets.

And yes...I figured that CTS, VIV, DAW, etc, etc....are all the exact same turbos, just with different name plates or names cast into the housings.

Rob could definitely own the market if he did the whole marketing thing. He won't and never will.. I speak to him quite often and he's definitely backlogged and has been for the last two years.

Most people don't realize that he's RB Turbo and nobody else touches the turbos.. he does everything unlike his competitors who have some "Chinese" company do it and slap their name on them.

The guy knows every and anything about this platform.. just email him and you'll find out. The best in the business IMO and easily by a long long long way the best customer service I've ever received.
