Auto shift knob help

Anyone do anything custom, a good universal knob or bmw specific? Im looking to change mine as I can't stand the look of it anymore. I really want something a lot shorter/smaller. Post pictures of what ya have. Thanks appreciate it.

You can look up the m3 dct knob. Some guys (myself included) use it on autos with a manual boot.

I have one FS btw.

From what I've read, you can put any manual BMW-fitment knob on an auto, but you'll lose the gear lock that keeps the shifter from being able to get knocked to other transmission modes.

However, Momo made a knob that isn't listed anymore called the Automatico, which I think was compatible with E9x BMWs.

Not all knobs thread on. Some are press on. Some use set screws.

It eliminates pressing the lock by keeping it perminently pressed.

Besides what's in the BMW catalogue I would suggest selling your car and buying one with a manual transmission.

Looks good. A manual shift boot would clean up the look even more.
