Houston: Recommended mechanics/shops/etc

Trying to find a shop that can install Downpipes on N54 e92. Recommendations?

TJ has a shop and will do the most cost effective work in Houston where as the high end BMW shops in Houston charge a lot. For easy stuff like downpipes I would go to TJ.

TJ didn't scam him, once it all came to light you could see TJ offered him a full refund if he shipped the lights back before he ever posted on the forum. In the end, that ranger was a bit crazy in the head.

He did it to several people not just one. A guy from NTBC as well. Anyways its not up to me where some one takes his car too. I just don't like people that do business that way.

Anyone can recommend a shop that can replace my driver side door actuator lock. My e90 335i driver door won't unlock with the remote or the unlock button anymore.

Which facebook group? And yes, over on Houston e90 forum facebook group... He's kinda known for not being the best in H-town.

Looking for a shop to do standard maintenance on my 08 335i. I need a brake fluid flush done at the moment. As my car is getting up there in mileage (98k), I really want to find an Indy shop that is good and reputable. Preferably on the north side of town. Any good recommendations?

+1 Sean Osborne is the only guy in Houston that I'll let do work on my car outside of the ABR and dealership venues

Yea don't really know why you're recommending TJ; he does atrocious work. Leaves screws off for no reason, breaks things and doesn't offer to fix them, etc.

ABR is legit, they share the building with M Performance in Spring

ABR is the way to go. I recently needed some work done due to some, ah self induced problems and I had my car towed an hour from my house to Alex's shop.

Been there 3 times and very pleased.

So ABR is Advanced BMW Repair? And they share a shop with M Performance? That's kind of odd. Are they both run by the same folks?

Either way thanks for the suggestions, I'll check them out. Great location as I am in the Spring area.

Yes we share the building with M performance, as they are a body shop and we're the mechanical side.... We're trying to procure the entire building since M performance is going a different route in the near future. Come see us, we'll be happy to take a peek at your ride-

Had a wonderful experience at ABR with my new-to-me 07 335i. I knew I wanted to get rid of the janky E30 tune the previous owner had on it, install a JB4 and do a walnut blast, but Paul found some more issues (thermostat, O2 sensor wiring) that the previous shop (coughMPowercough) had botched.

Great work and good dudes. Worth the drive from west Houston to Spring to get it done right!

If you’re on the nw side of town I suggest Lucas Car Care... they have done a lot of work for me and are reasonably priced.
