Not sure if you can disable it. I had a set of rims with snow tires and dealt with the yellow icon during the winter months for the past 2 seasons until I broke down and bought TPMS sensors. Sorry but I don't know off hand if there is an easy way to mask that icon.

I neglected to get new TPM sensors when I ordered my new VMR VB3s, I thought I could find a work around or a way to turn off the TPM system — nope. No fuse to pull, you can go cheap and put a piece of tape over the light or you can go the expensive route and get the Macht Schnell TPMS/RDC Emulation Module for $289
I ended up transferring my old sensors to my new wheels, shop did it for $115

Or if you're the lucky guy who purchased a 2010 3 series, you're looking at around $400 a pop for TPMS sensors. So sometimes it can be the less expensive option |

I have a 2006 330i and put 3 diff sets of rims with no tpms sensors. Stock rims with TPMS sensors work ( I had a flat once in between rim changes)

I put a set of wheels without the TPMS, and the first thing that happened after I drove off is the tire pressure light coming on. I had to reset it the first and the second day, I've never seen it come on ever again

E90s only got the sensor based TPMS starting as of 3/07 production. all prior cars (like your 2006 E90) had the abs based FTM system that has NO sensors, but monitors wheel speed to detect a tire going low.

depends on production date. all cars post 3/07 prod have TPMS. All coupes from SoP have TPMS. E90 and E91s built before 3/07 use FTM (no sensors)

Orient knows what he is saying.
If your valve stems are black (rubber), you low air warning is based off of wheel speed sensor's calculation of the tire diameter, not off of TPMS. Its all explained in the user manual. ;-)

What manual are you reading? I have an 06 330xi and it explains FTM not TPMS.
