Just changed from RFT to FK452s.

I had decided to swap out my RFTs in exchange for Falken 452s, mainly because I didn't want to replace RFT @ 300 a pop in the event i get a bubble, tear, etc. and to increase ride comfort.

I only had them on for about a day, and I must say the comfort increased dramatically. The car drives smooth like butter, the Run Flats were way to stiff compared to these, definitely recommending ditching the stock tires for anyone debating about doing it. Still haven't pushed the car hard enough to feel an increase in handling, but I am almost positive I have improved in that department as well.

I don't understand why BMW puts on these POS tires on our cars, at least they got it right with the M cars.

well i would say bmw would reason that 3 series werent meant to be tracked, raced, or abused for that manner, they are chilled out luxury sport sedans and coupes, RFT's are expensive to replace but not carrying a spare and being able to drive a few 100 miles on a flat RFT is pretty clutch even with the terrible ride quality

i tossed my RFT's about 20 minutes after i bought my car hahah

As far as handling - your steering response may not feel as crisp. especially if you are coming off of the Bridgestones.

I guess the roads in Germany must be really smooth, so the BMW management can't realise how horrible the standard Bridgestone safety tyres are.

Possibly... but I'll take that over those firm RFTs anyday, the smoothness of non-rfts is a must have.
