How to remove oil cap on N54?

I want to replace the oil cap, but cant seem to figure out on how to remove the old cap and base off the valve cover.

Below are the only instructions ive found online. Anyone know the trick to get this cap off?

I had the same problem there are two area holding it to the valve cover just use a screwdriver and wedge it between the valve cover and the base of the oil cap and pull it off

Good stuff. It's weird how when you're looking at pics or reading a DIY, it's like "what?! how do you do that?!", but once you do it you think to yourself "wow, that was easy".
