Another awesome video from the guys at BMW Group Classic. This time, it's time to take a look at the 3.0 CSL

One of the most beautiful racing BMWs in my book (that and the M1). Marcus Glarner in Ontario Canada has a couple of race M1s and a race 3.0CLS, he still races them.
They are gorgeous cars to see up close.

I wonder what the forums would have said when E9 CSL was released? Seems like it always takes some time to get used to changes to our favorite models (e60 Bangle butt). I hope G82 grows on us

I don't think anyone really "loves" the Bangle designs.

They're just more tolerable.

The new grills suck, but at least they're better than some of the crap Bangle was putting out, although that shouldn't really be the design yardstick.

I'll say it. The E9 with European bumpers is the best looking post WW2 production car, period. As a retired designer myself, MSME and MSID, BMW has never been a aesthetic design leader. I can appreciate the looks of various models here and there but BMW is selling their Driving Experience. I'm a big BMW fan owning at least one or two BMW's every year since 1968. The current M8C coupe is nice looking luxury sports coupe.

they should play this at every design and board mtg cause they are kinda lost right now but they only need to look in their museum to get a clue

Beautiful car and fun video. Proof that performance and looks don’t have to be mutually exclusive. Thanks for sharing.

hello, does anyone knows anything about the z3ish gray prototype in the back at minute 2:38? Looks pretty interesting, specially because the grills are like the ones in the new m4 and the old 328

Such a beautiful car, doesn't have a bad angle. Many years ago I had a lead on an E9 3.0CS, the owner wanted $10,000, I just couldn't swing it at the time and I kick myself every time I think about it now, I should have dug a little deeper.

There was an homage done with the previous 4-series...

If it makes you feel any better when I was just out of school I couldn't quite get the $40K together with a buddy to buy a 246 Dino. We foolishly decided to eat and have someplace to live.

I’ve watched that video a few times. One of the best timeless designs out there. I keep checking my piggy bank hoping there will be enough to buy one someday!
