PSA $150 Battery Oakville/Mississauga
If you are looking for a low cost battery to get a few more years out of your E90, I found a $150 lead acid AC Delco battery at Candid Auto Parts in Oakville (QEW and Winston Churchill).

I've installed a few batteries in my life, and I've found that OEM BMW + registered is the way to go. I've tried others that have been "compatible" with BMWs and seems that they are always showing weird errors (car on a stand, battery icon, etc.) If someone can chime in here on their experiences that would be great. I actually just changed my original battery after 210k and it's a 2007

In general I would agree and usually opt for OEM parts myself, but was looking for a two year fix. Since I coded and registered the battery, I can report back that I have no issues.

Total cost was $150 + tax. The battery never had a slow crank through the particularly cold Jan/Feb and is still going strong, so it is definitely a cheap alternative if you aren’t planning to keep your car for another 7 years.
