Intermittent P0205 Code
About a month ago, started up my 328 and it throws the P0205 code and is running on 5 cylinders. Turn it off, clear the code, starts up fine, drive it daily for two weeks no issues. Park it in the garage Friday night.
Saturday night, start it up, throws the same code, running on 5 cylinders. Turn it off, clear the code, but starts up with the code and 5 cylinders again. Leave it parked for a few days. Pull the engine cover off, pull the electrical connectors off the injectors and test the resistance of each injector. All 6 measure 12.5ohms. Put it back together, car starts up fine. Drive it for three days no issues. Went to start it this morning and the error code is back, running on five cylinders. I could replace the injector but that doesn't seem to be the issue. Is my wiring wrecked? Every time this has happened, the garage has been hot and humid (60% humidity or more), not sure if that's relevant. Anything else I should be checking? |

it's like 98% humidity here every day.. I really doubt that is the issue, or cars would be dying like flies.
Port injector failures are really rare (although not impossible). Most likely a misfire is caused by a bad coil, not an injector. |
