Anybody wanna do a coding job for me?
As per:
https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1713781 i have added a M-ASK Business Navigation dash, screen, controller, headunit ti a car that came with Professional Radio i have also changed headlights to Xenon headlights (they work but lots of errors) Was trying to learn how to do it myself but most guides talk about CIC Coding or they have different information from what i see in my version of NCS Export (ie: lots of people saying you wanna "factory code" the CAPPL" Module.. which is not even there for me. As much as i like to tinker and learn.. I actually need this car to be operational for getting around for work. Will pay if someone can remote in and help. Thanks Last edited by Brendanssound; 07-03-2020 at 01:49 AM.. Reason: not CCC.. |

What was the year of your car and did you have one of those in
first place . The files are different between the CIC and CCC. Also in non US markets there may be lower model of the Nav that we have seen mentioned but know nothing about. |

Donor Car is a 2005 BMW E90 330i M Sport
New Car is a 2005 BMW E90 325i New car shows it had $663 "Radio BMW Professional" But by the time i purchased the car it had been changed to some Eonon Aftermarket radio which is now long gone. Donor car has $606 "Navigation System Business" and $676 "HiFi Speaker System" Once i transferred the dash i had audio and a screen that i couldn't control.. drove it around like that for a bit till now because i had some time to pull the controller and headliner etc.. So now new car has donor cars entire radio system (radio itself, screen, amp, wiring, internals from the sharkfin) But i have since figured out i have an M-ASK System.. not CCC.. And yet i CANNOT get the $606 VO Code to stay in.. i keep getting error: COAPI-1000 Fehler" (For more clarification: I connect my car, Turn it on to reds, Open INPA to verify its working, then close INPA and open NCS and load profile (Expert coding), Press F1 >F3 >Select E89 >Select CAS >At this point i can see my VIN.. Press F2 for Edit VO/FA.. Add $606 and verify its in the list.. hit OK.. Then press Back and i get the COAPI-1000 Fehler Error) The most i have been able to do is skip the F2 part and press back after selecting CAS.. Which gets me to the next screen but i can't edit VO from there. Nor am I getting any audio (I have yet to do rear speakers but everything else is on the loom. Figured out my COAPI-1000 error was my daten files.. or shall I say lack thereof. This allowed me to program $606 and $676 into CAS/FRM
Went back in and programmed MASK module.. still no sound (will try with a loaded cd changer) and still no response from the controller.. are there other modules that need to be programmed for a MASK module? I have checked over my wiring and see no obvious faults.. one of the pins is getting roughly 5V, next one is getting half a volt, and the next two have nothing.. If anyone has any ideas please feel free to chime in |

If you read the above thread there was confusion between idrive and pro radio . The proper modules to code for idrive are as follows. Hi First add $676 to VO, then FA_write in FRM and CAS. Then, using NCS, with the profile "expert", code the following modules : CHOST CAPPL CGATE CAUDI CTUNE to code, you just have to make an "SG_CODIEREN" on the modules, with expert profile. NO BLANK .MAN FILE ! No need to read the modules first, just code... He means all the modules mentioned though I think Cappl is the important one if you have the DVD based idrive. |

Yep. I've seen that thread already. But my understanding was those modules are for a CCC system not MASK like i have.
And if I'm wrong.. I'm even more confused because those modules are definitely not there for me. Reply #14: https://www.e90post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=664681 Seems to also suggest i wont have CAPPL or any of those other modules.. only MASK and that's all i need by the looks? (Which is what i found and ran SG_CODIEREN today.. So I'm done.. But not really.. because i have no audio or controller.. :/ Last edited by Brendanssound; 07-04-2020 at 07:08 AM.. |

I only have 1 theory left and that's the wiring not being present behind the fuse box for things like controller or amp? anyone able to confirm?
Since i moved the wiring loom for the controller, amp, and headunit from a car that HAD those things into a car that didn't it's the only reason i can think of for why both the amp and controller wouldn't work regardless of the fuse being there.. Also i don't know if this is in any way related but i noticed today that i can hop in and turn on the headunit without putting key in.. Just press the button and i can see the radio and select a station.. no audio? |

If it helps at all i have no gongs anymore, no PDC sounds, and the CID is displaying my service soon, airbag warning, and many many errors for uncoded adaptive xenon headlights
So it's kind of seems like its doing everything it should bar the controller and no sound. I have measured the fuse and there's definitely some power there so i have 0 remaining ideas.. The amp is just not being told to turn on.. Do i need to edit man file? |

Basically just talking to myself at this point But i had a thought..
I noticed today my car does not sleep. And a lot of people seem to suggest doing a battery registration to resolve this (But the battery registration requires IBS which i have spoken about before.. Seems to be missing from my car) Could this have anything to do with changes not taking affect and audio not working? |

I would suggest you put up pictures of your units and a screen shot
of what Inpa functional jobs look's like. In Europe they have some lower level Nav's we never see here and no nothing about. Don't know if this applys to Australia. Here it's either CCC, CIC or pro Radio. Do not use third party sites to post your pictures they often to not work.
