Excited for this. I've been looking at replacing trans solenoids and all the mechatronic rubber parts. Idk if they'll improve shifting, but probably needed @ 104k miles lol

Any feedback as to why you like the older version better?

not sure if its the new transmission mounts or the placebo effect, but the new version does seem a bit more snappy. i dont have the customization license so im just running the OTS stage 3. the 2>3 shift seems more crisp

I first thought the shift point in D mode was a bit unpredictable (the way it upshifts and downshifts depending on partial pedal input) and also couldn't feel any differenfe in S mode so I flashed back to the previous version. Then I thought Xhp wouldn't have worked hard for nothing so I gave v3.0 another try. This time I did some highway WOT and mountain road spirited driving. I liked it a lot. I just needed some time to get used to the new shift behavior. 2nd gear upshift is no longer noticeable and turning into and out of a corner feels amazing. Lots of fun in sprited driving and refined shifts.

Yep the shifts in normal mode are really smooth and fast like the ZF8. One thing I always hated about the old map was that it wouldn't downshift in normal mode when you give it throttle just like the stock map. It would just sit there in the same gear and bog itself down. Now it downshifts appropriately. Sport mode also selects the correct gear basically every time and is much smoother.

I loaded the map this afternoon and only put about 25 miles on it. D mode didn't seem much different to me so far *stage 2* except that the 2-3 shift is now revving a little bit before going into 3rd. I played with sport mode for about a minute. I have always avoided sport mode because it just wasn't intuitive at all. I'm excited to spend a little more time playing around in sport mode because it acts completely different. I am assuming and hoping that the 2-3 shift blip with iron itself out after some more adaption miles.

I loaded v3.0 (stage 2) today and gave it a whirl. About two miles in, I got a very hard 2->3 shift under moderate throttle. It revved pretty good before slamming into 3rd, then immediately jumped to 4th. Traction control lit up. Really startling. I've got a JB4 (with the BMS pump BEF) and I figured maybe lowering menu 11 (pedal sensitivity) from 1K to 500 might help. I was pretty gun shy after that, so I drove quite gently for a while in hopes it needed to learn some more. The 2->3 shift didn't blow up again, but it wasn't as smooth as the other shifts. Didn't try sport mode. I'll reserve judgement overall until I'm able to put some more miles on it.

I drove about 24 miles today... My first 12 miles to my destination were rough with those 2->3 gear changes, but I didn't notice the weird upshifts in the latter half of my trip.

How long does it take to flash from V2.0 to V3.0 with the orange adapter? If it's < 30 seconds, i am going to do it without a charger.

I don't have the WiFi adapter but with the blaze cable it took me 1 minute and 28 seconds.
