I'm most certain there was a downpayment to get that monthly rate. I'm curious why would pay extra for oil changes every 5000kms when it's full synthetic and it's a leased car?

Yes I traded my E46 M in. Why do I change the oil every 5k. Piece of mind. Any car I owned. Changed the oil every 5k because I think 10,000kms an oil change is crazy its not a diesel. $100 every 5k I'm ok with to know that its ok. Espically since there is no dipstick to see the oil. I'm very strick when it comes to maintence. And when it comes to scheduled oil change. Its free lol

First post... Somewhat interested, what's the residual? And why do you want to get rid of it, if you don't mind me asking?

Well if I owned the car I would change oil more frequently.....but to do it on a lease every 5oookms is overkill....and waste of money IMO. I'm at 64000km and just had my 3rd scheduled oil change....and it's a lease. For the person that's t over your car, at least will be clean oil.

Not everyone has the same low standards as you - what if he was contemplating purchasing the car post lease?

But its a great price for monthly payment...someone should take advantage of the down payment he did.
Bill - no need to cast votes, and everyone is entitled to an opinion - oil change frequency is a hot debate so as long as you feel like you are doing the right thing for your specific situation, its fine. It doesn't mean that everyone is in the same situation as you, re: oil change intervals on leased vehicles that may one day be bought out. Also, it is the OPS's FS post - what if he went over to your post regarding the car you are trying to sell, and made note that you have only changed the oil 3 times - it could turn some potential buyers away.

have a nice day!

Thanks Turk. Look guys I dont want arguing over oil change intervals. Is a little stupid to be honest. If you dont agree with me spending money on changing the oil every 5k well thats your choice. Im just looking for someone to take over my lease lol. And there isnt anything wrong with changing the oil at 5k.
