AA N52 Signature Exhaust HP Gains?

Hey Guys,

I just ordered an AA N52 Signature Exhaust for my 328i. I heard good reviews about AA and the exhaust in general so I decided to go for it. It was a good price brand new as well for $600.

Just wondering what gains people are getting in terms of hp and torque after installing the AA N52 Exhaust. I know there are graphs but I would prefer personal experiences of the Exhaust and their personal gains.

I also know that there have been many other reviews of the product, but I would just like to get some opinions on the overall product. How bad is the drone? Just overall opinions

Thanks!

Looking into getting one of these as well. Let me know how much you pay for install, that's kinda what is holding me back ($1000+ for 15 hp gain and better sounding exhaust??)

15hp gain is a bit ridiculous IMO for a muffler. I would be surprised to see even 5hp haha.

well the exhaust brand new is 599+tax around $650. And install depends on the store I've heard $50 for a bolt-on install.

I guess they exaggerate just a tad haha: "Optimal power, performance and sound are the core values of our N52 exhaust system. A free-flow design and beefy 80mm dual exhaust tips allow 35% to 40% more air flow than in the stock system. The increased flow minimizes back pressure, resulting in substantial HP and torque gains."

And $50??? That's a bargain haha I may look into it more.

Yea, the BMW Performance Exhaust advertises it about 15hp gain for the N52. I highly doubt it though. That's why I am curious to see what others have achieved with their cars.

$50 is a steal lol but I'm pretty sure most reputable shops where I live will do it for closer to $100.

Can't stand the drone of a muffler delete. Plus, a muffler delete would be too loud for my liking

I see, are you a 328i or 335i? Cause I heard that the two with a delete is quite different in terms of sound.

When I did my muffler delete, I noticed more pull on my car. That stock exhaust is so restrictive. You're better off getting a muffler delete. The AA Exhaust just looks nice, IMO.

The AA Exhaust should have less drone now that folks are figuring out what's causing it with that system. It sounds like a slight modification to the hangers will elminate most of the drone around 2k rpm. The resonance chamber also works to reduce it.

AA exhaust is muffler delete with resonance chamber to reduce drone.

I think AA claims about 4-5 hp gain in the development stage, which is not bad for a system like this.

You will get more hp gain if you do 2nd cat delete or even primary cat delete.

I highly doubt they are getting 4-5 hp anyways.

maybe 1 hp lol

if you car is faster by anychance....its because your saving weight.

600 dollars hahaha. You can get a muffler delete, a resonator, and new tips for less then HALF the price. a muffler shop can custom fabricate a cat-back system for that price.
