I understand that:
1. The pin 1 -brown- should be connected to the car ground (under the hood ?)
2. The pin 8 -red- should be connected to the +12 V (fuse box or lighter)
3. But I'm not able to identify to witch pin of the CAS I should connect the pins 2, 3 and 4.
i.e: how to identify the pins PT-CAN-H, PT-CA-L and 15WUP-AC ?
Here's what I've put together for when I do the retrofit.

Tremendous ! It's more clear now !
Since my was made in 2013, I don't have to add a separate LDM module.
I will do it in couple of hours and let you know if it works.

Where do you upload pictures that you display here ?
I put my pictures in my googl drive but they do not display here.

No problem mate, best of luck.

For this picture (or any of my car related mods), in my profile here on E90Post, I just created an album and upload my pic there and then copied the pic address over to this post.

Ok, thank you. I will upload my pictures here as well. I did not know that it was possible to host pictures in here. I just tried it and it works.

Hello,
Do someone knows what's the usage of the symbol "light with timer" on the light switch in the picture above ?
I want to mount the switch to get ACC fonction. Should I replace the entire switch block or should I just replace the ACC switch ? Giving I prefer to r place all the bloc because it seems easy than replacing just one switch.

Hello,
I tried to install my ACC features today but I'm not able to find the two pins for signals PT_CAN_H and PT_CAN_L !
There is no red cable near red blue cable as they are described in the schema !
Can someone show me where they are ?

I was able to identify the wake up signal pin (number 18).
See pictures above.

Pin 18 for wake up signal :

Where are pins for PT_CAN_L and PT_CAN_H (pins number 43 and 44 of the harness according to the schema above) ?

Do you mean my car harness is different from other cars you already worked on ?

Hi mate, no I haven't done yet at all on my car or anyone else's. I've only collected the parts, reviewed the instructions and comments in this post and started preparing some notes for myself. I've been busy with work, studies and home stuff and haven't had the chance to even to look at the car lately so I'm hoping to do it soon in the next coming months when I've got the chance and time to pull the car apart.

I wonder if someone has the same issue, or this is the common understanding already?
My E90 is made 2005, probably LCI or Msp may not have this issue..

Do I really need to cut-off the bumper for the trim install?
- Yes, I had to cut the bumper with a dremel. If you look closely there is a 'cutting guide line' that is visible on the underside, unpainted part of that intake - well there was on my LCI bumper.

I had to wire my PT CAN wires from the JBBF(junction box) as well as the power wire. My car did not have PT-CAN at the FRM(footwell module)
I think only cars with Active Steering have PT CAN at the FRM. My ACC works without PT-CAN at the FRM.

The symbol is the instrument cluster and cabin lighting brightness.
I removed the donor stalk and swapped it to my clock spring and other stalks. You will need a small Torx screw driver, the ribbons pull out, take your time and practice on the throwaway items not the ACC stalk.

3. I would prefer to wire power into the correct fuse 9, rather than tapping into the cigarette lighter socket power as per the DIY. Has anyone done this, and if so, how? I see the options as either using a fuse tap in the fuse 9 slot, or wiring into the junction box as per the OE wiring, although I assume I'll need to add a connector and I don't know how accessible the junction box connectors are.

Getting the fuse box out is a pain but totally possible. There are guides on the internet. I wired mine OEM into the back of the fuse box in cruise control location, shown on the white fold up card on the back of the fuse access pannel.
I used this :
Part: 61131378906 Double leaf spring contact 0,5-1,0MM²

I didn't cut any of my wires are used these pins and connectors to tap the existing wires shown in the first few pages of this thread:
61131393723 Contact pin MQS 0,5-0,75MM² /SN
61131393724 Socket terminal MQS 0,5-0.75 MM²/SN
61136931929 Universal pin terminal uncoded
61138377072 Universal socket housing uncoded 3 POL.

LDM connector:
61138364666 Universal socket housing uncoded 18 POL.
61138364662 Universal cover cap, uncoded 18 POL.

de-pin the wires you need from the appropriate connector. Put the de pinned female pins into one of the little Green connectors I listed on my post. You then make a harness with two wires going into one male pin which is inserted into the other type of little green connector housing. One of the two wires go back into the original connector with a female pin the other wire is for you to use wherever you need it.
This is the non destructive method to tap any wire in your car

You will need a good crimp tool the goes down to AWG24 and make sure you buy extra pins because you'll break a few in the process.

Where is the JBBF junction box located ?
Could you post some pictures of your wiring of the two PT-CAN pins on the JBBF box ?

The PT-Can runs throughout the car to many modules. Just tap into it carefully near any of the modules that are applicable to your car.

The link is interactive so you can click on any ‘blue lettered’ item and it will take you there for more detail and information.

Thanks for all the reference numbers. I'll look into the removal of the fuse box, I'd prefer to take the factory installation approach if possible.

With regard to my other question about right-hand drive cars, as expected the LDM and CAS are located behind the driver's side footwell panel, so on the right side of the car. As a result, I ran the wiring loom up the right side of the car and through the grommet behind the DSC module (which is also on the driver's side on a RHD car). Basically everything is a mirror image of a LHD car, with the exception of the ACC module itself which is still on the right side of the bumper grille.
