I feel so bad for the guy that lost his axel. Didn't know that was possible in a 335.

It was nice to meet you guys; those cars are gorgeous, tasteful cosmetics on the 335is, and it was good to see your buddy actually run that GTR there too... ive seen a few guys show up just to park them.

Naw, it was dipped. Any place that offers wrapping around here is a rip. EMS usually charges like 3k.

Fun meet, nice to meet you guys.

Too bad I blew out that damn axle.

Special thanks to @603N54 for hooking me up with Chris and his shop. Hopefully I should be back on the road tomorrow.

Special thanks to @zero2sixtyZ for setting up the meet and driving my ass home so I didn't have to take the Nike express. Thanks buddy!

I'm not going back without a lockdown kit. I want DSS too but altogether at $1900 just to not risk breaking axles seems a bit much...maybe i'll just start with the lockdown kit...Either way my last event for this year i think...

Wheel hop. Well known blower of axles on 335s.

http://www.defivfabrication.com/n54.html <--this is supposed to fix it...

I think a part that could have played into it is i'm lowered on stock struts. Not that the rear struts are blown or anything but I don't think they can handle launching and dampen enough. I think a properly dialed in CO suspension would help reduce it as well...more things to buy...

You don't 'need' one per say...but you may limp.

You can always make your own for much less. There is a DIY on the forums that shows it I believe.

Only expensive if you buy a premade one like the AR: http://www.ardesign.info/store/selec...t-stage-1.html

DIY should be a 1/4 of the cost.

That link is for a second oil cooler. Could I just do that one? I'm sure it's not an issue till next summer!

That link is also for if you don't have the factory oil cooler, you would need the retrofit kit which is line another $500. You can definitely make your own oil cooler for a faction of the price.

Sorry for replying back to this so late, but it was great meeting up with you guys. Sucked to see Torgus' 335 eat an axle, but glad it wasn't worse. I had an awful run in the 14s, and the GoPro video to prove it. I have my list of excuses, but I'll upload the video later.
