Gonna do the mirrors? The black kinda sticks out a little too much.
Also....get that ride height fixed! Xi? |

Looks good OP. The wheels would look better in gloss or a brighter color. Right now, they kinda just disappear.
I'm too OCD with finish to ever wrap a car. |

exactly. I still think it is massively overpriced by shops. Ok so it takes 40 hrs to do lets say. You are paying a guy $20 an hour. $800. $200 worth of vinyl.
Still cheaper than a respray. mayeb once I'm done with performance stuff and some cosmetic stuff I might consider changing to a 'fun' color to stand out more. Like leguna seca blue or something. http://www.1addicts.com/forums/attac...1&d=1211783314

200 is NOT the price of vinyl. Especially for certain finishes. I get it straight from a distributor also no middle man. You might luck out on the color you want on clearance vinyl. But the colors are limited and it's probably old vinyl (vinyl has a shelf life) Include in a clean lit garage/real estate, primer/seal, claybar/prepping, and removing and uninstalling door handles/side skirts/bumpers/badging/lights (and paying to replace all the plastic clips that you break). Salary of a certified vinyl specialist ranges from 50-108k depending on what they're doing for work. Unforunately most are trained to do half assed jobs bc they wrap graphic vinyl. They don't need to come out perfect because it's for a business ad vehicle that may change wraps annually or the graphics that are screens on the wrap hide imperfections. Look closely at the company vans next time, you'll see shit you don't want on your car. On a clean wrap for a car enthusiast it needs to be 99.9% perfect. It's one of the reasons most "company wrap" businesses either reject car enthusiast wraps or charge nearly triple. It isn't suppose to be a cheaper solution to paint. It's actually a pita to wrap something that has messed up paint. It's another option for people that have nicer cars that need to keep the original paint for resale purposes in the future. Dip on the other hand... |

Just started wrapping again myself. Did my trunk and high kick spoiler. And wrapped my carbon roof w matching carbon from the trunk. Will avoid using a torch from now on. Seems like the vinyl I was using is thinner than what I usually wrap with. Burnt a slight line into the roof vinyl.
Will do the mirror. Then need to get my beater on the road before I do the whole color change. Stick with what color to do. Pic of my old e90 my buddy bought. Black vinyl roof, rear bumper, mirrors. 3 years going strong. Going to take my air box and engine cover out next weekend and sand them smooth. See if they can handle the heat when wrapped. |

Please do tell where you get vinyl for 200$. I haven't seen that price anywhere, maybe a brand made in china" but even with that price you could only get enough to wrap 1/3 of your car.
