RB external pcv, plugged head ports and 2nd OCC in along with a brand new valve cover. No more walnut blasting or white smoke

I've seen a couple others mention this but can seem to figure out a solution. Above 5k RPM with catless DPs and our exhaust seems to get really ricey/raspy. Anyone resolve this issue with a resonator or what?

Removing secondaries for Vibrant resonator was the most popular option that seemed to work for most, an e93 owner however did not agree this solved his rasp issue... ears and tastes are different. I have catted dp's and no complaints

Yea keep the stock 335is mufflers and replace the 2ndary cats with 1792 vibrant resonators. It still keeps that exotic 335is sound without rasp or drone.

Although I'm probably going to get a PE exhaust at some point.

If I was gonna spend that $ on an exhaust I would get Dinan > PE though

The 335is exhaust with DPs and vibrant resonators is VERY tame. Looking for something a bit louder.

I just bought vibrant 1792 resonators to deal with the same exact issue, I will be installing them within the next week or two.

Does anyone have windshield washers? I popped my cover off because I was about to remove my bumper and to my surprise nothing is behind! Did someone removed the internals or all IS are like this?

I thought all Canadians car were cold weather though. I'm just surprised they kept the covers, guess cost effective instead of having 2 bumpers haha. No wonder my lights were't being washed, I was trying to make them work. |

For people with rasp issues, this setup worked for me. There's a tiny bit of rasp at 5K only in 1st gear, but it's really negligible.
335is, MT COBB catted downpipes Vibrant 1792 in place of secondary cats Dinan mufflers Advantages: Higher flow mufflers (+ couple of ponies) Deeper/throatier tone Bigger tips (I painted mine black) No rasp Disadvantages: Less burbles and character than the IS muffler Cost You can hear it on YouTube, along with the other configurations I've tried. |

Man I'm having a hard time believing removing 2nd cats and using resonators didn't work. Everyone on the forum says it's the way to remove rasp, even for IS.
